Gym Owner

I started my working life as an accountant but a keen passion in health and nutrition took me on a different path. I left the office life behind and ran a successful health food business promoting a healthier life style in my local community.

For over 10 years i have offered a range of fitness classes allowing people to cross train and also find something they enjoy and can stick with because I believe that consistency is key to health and longevity.

Beginners Pilates

Living near Kirkby Lonsdale I enjoy an active lifestyle alongside my family life and particularly enjoy Pilates, running and open water swimming. I am committed to sharing the benefits of Pilates to beginners and returners, offering safe, welcoming classes that focus on flexibility, posture, balance and strength. My approach is supportive and inclusive, creating a space where everyone can feel comfortable moving at their own pace whilst improving overall wellbeing.

HOLLY

Zumba Instructor

I’m Holly - Zumba instructor, Reiki Master, civil servant, and proud Mam. I love creating laughter and joy through movement, creating calm and supporting healing through energy work, and striving to make a difference in my day job. My heart feels fullest when I am with my family, outdoors, surrounded by trees, birdsong, fresh air, and the magic of the lakes around us.

EMMA

Mindful, Strength & Stability Yoga

Emma Gwillim is a Yoga Alliance-accredited Senior Yoga Teacher and Coach who holds a specialist trauma-informed certification. She is passionate about helping people to develop a rich awareness of the felt sense and empowering them with practices to build a resilient nervous system.

Emma is trained in multiple styles of yoga - including hatha, yin, restorative, yoga nidra and children’s yoga, as well as applied polyvagal theory for therapeutic yoga for trauma. She is also a Master Practitioner of NLP and coach.

PATRICK

DDP Yoga

I have always been a keen runner but in 2012, aged 28, I was regularly getting injuries to my knees, hips and lower back. This is when I discovered DDP Yoga and in the 13 years since I have been injury free (touch wood) and was amazed at how quickly I progressed, being able to touch my toes within a fortnight of starting!

Chair Based Exercise

I’ve had a lifelong interest in sports and fitness in general, initially gymnastics then squash and hiking. Fulfilling a long term ambition I ran my first of 4 London marathons in 2010 at the age of 57 and then an ultra marathon in the Himalayan region of China for my 60th challenge.

I lived in Hong Kong for 12 years, becoming a personal trainer and life coach when I returned home in 2014 after retiring from teaching. I now love running fitness classes in Burton in Kendal and Arkholme.

Other passions include travel, gardening, cooking, reading …..and doing anything with my rather large family!
